About Fall Into Books Literary Conference

The concept for Fall Into Books Literary Conference came about in 2006 as a way to help connect readers in the Midwest to authors that rarely make it to the area for various reasons.

In 2010, the 1st Annual Fall Into Books Literary Conference took place in Kansas City, MO with great authors such as Eric Jerome Dickey, Victoria Christopher Murray, ReShonda Tate Billingsley, J.D. Mason and about 26 more authors in total! In 2011, the decision was made to relocate Fall Into Books to our cousin city St. Louis, MO for logistical reasons mainly. The 3rd Annual Fall Into Books Literary Conference will again be hosted in St. Louis, MO for the second year in a row, which we are thrilled about.

TaNisha Webb, president of the KC Girlfriends Book Club and founder of Literary-ly Speaking Events & Services, Book Club 101 University, The Ultimate Book Club Experience and Bookmark It! Handcrafted Bookmarks is the founder of Fall Into Books Literary Conference.

Greetings Future Fall Into Books Participants,

We're heading into our third year of Fall Into Books Literary Conference and there have been plenty of lessons learned! In 2012, we're going to continue our mission of "Connecting Avid Readers, Book Clubs and Authors...One Literary Step at a Time" Right here in the heart of America! We hope that as we continue on with the concept of Fall Into Books that the conference will encourage readers, particularly in the Midwest, to support great authors in their areas and also help authors establish a fan base in this untouched market.

It's time for the Central Midwest to shine as we're eager to help connect readers with their favorite authors and also authors that readers should definitely get to know.  We also want to help support aspiring and established authors by offering various author workshops along with informative book clubs workshops.  We are committed to presenting our participants with a great literary conference that will be sustained for years to come.

It is our goal to bring you some of the best African American authors, engage you with insightful panel discussions and workshops and ultimately show you a great time in a laid back setting! We'll see you in September 2012!
